A suicide while taking hundreds of others with you too is a bit of a weird use of the word "suicide" though: it'd be not unlike saying "the person attempted suicide by detonating a bomb in a crowded market".
It’s the emphasis - one is an attack that involves the death of the attacker, the other is someone killing themselves as the main goal.
“Taking everyone with you” is a perverse form of the latter perversion.

Cabin crew got the cockpit door open, there were off duty pilots on board, and they landed without a rudder. What a crazy story.
The speculation and astroturfing has been interesting as well. There were reports that the crew were Ukrainian and Russian. Some comments on the avherald post are "must be Boeing's fault" (which I'm sure pleases Simon, the AirIndia truther).
